Preparation Time: 

1 kilo (2 lbs 4 oz) beef
4 Greek style sausages
1 large onion, finely chopped
150 grams (5 oz) butter
100 grams (3 1/2 oz) olive oil
1 kilo (2 lbs 4 oz) tomatoes, finely diced
500 grams (1 lb 2 oz) «kritharaki» (orzo), a rice-shaped pasta

Cooking Directions: 

 - Wash and stain the beef and cut it into portions. Saute it in a pot with oil and butter, until it turns golden. 
 - Add the sausages (sliced) and the onion and stir with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pep¬per and lower the fire. 
 - Line the bottom and sides of a pan with aluminum foil and empty the contents of the pot into it. Add the pasta, the tomatoes, salt and pepper and stir with a wooden spoon. 
 - Finally, cover the whole surface of the pan with aluminum foil and bake at 200-230 degrees for about one and a half hours.
