1 ½  kilos ( 3 lbs 6 oz) beef 
1 kilo okra (2 lbs 4 oz)
2-3 ripe tomatoes, finely diced
2 onions, finely diced
2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
1 teacup olive oil
1 teacup vinegar

Cooking Time: 
about 3 hours
Cooking Directions: 

- Wash and strain the beef and cut it into small pieces. Heat the oil in a pot and saute the onions lightly. Add the meat and while stirring it allow it to become golden brown.
- Then, add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, the parsley and an amount of water. Allow everything to boil for about two hours.
- In the meantime, prepare the okra by cutting off their stems with a sharp knife. Place them in a bowl with salt and vinegar and let them stand for about an hour. 
- Drain them and half an hour before the meat finishes cooking, place them in one side of the pot. 
- Continue cooking over a low fire. Serve hot.
