1 lobster, about 1 ½  kilos (3lbs 6 oz) 
2-3 carrots, coarsely cut
1 -2 onions, coarsely diced
Small amount of celery
1 bay leaf

1 wine glass vinegar
2 teaspoons pepper corns

Cooking Directions: 

- Pour enough water into a pot so as to cover the lobster. Add the onions, the vinegar, the salt and pepper the carrots, the celery, the bay leaf, and cook for about 20 minutes. 
- Next, carefully place the lobster in the pot and continue cooking for another 25-30 minutes. 
- Remove the lobster and the veg¬etables from the pot and place them on a platter. 
- When the lobster is cold enough, cut it in two, length¬wise with a sharp knife.
- Serve the portions with the boiled vegetables (and mushrooms, potatoes, etc., if desired).
