250 grams (9 oz) onions, roughly chopped
250 grams (9 oz) carrots, thickly sliced
1 teacup olive oil
1 glass white wine

- In a pot, heat the oil over a medium fire and add the chicken pieces Brown them for about 10 minutes. 
- Pour in the wine and add the onions, the carrots, the salt and pepper and the appropriate amount of water. 
- Cook over a medi¬um fire for about an hour and a half. 
- Serve hot as a second cours
