Ingredients: 

2 cups semolina
3 cups soft flour
Half cup brandy
Half cup orange juice
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
Half teaspoon cinnamon powder
Half teaspoon clove powder
2 tablespoons orange zest
1 cup olive oil
1 cup corn oil
3 cups walnuts finaly chopped
1 cup sugar
For the syrup
1.5 cups honey
1.5 cups sugar
1.5 cups water
 

Cooking Time: 
30 minutes
Cooking Directions: 

- Mix the oil and the sugar using an electric mixer.
- Add the orange zest, the orange juice, the baking powder, the cinnamon, the clove powder, 1 cup walnuts and the brandy and blend well.
- Add the semolina stir well and finally add the flour.
- Knead lightly and make the cookies in your preferred shape.
- Place in a baking dish and bake at 350oF until golden.
- In the meantime prepare the syrup.
- Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and boil for 5 minutes.
- Submerge the cookies in the syrup, remove immediately from the heat and leave them to soak for 5 minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon, place on a platter and sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts.
