Kind of pudding with walnuts and syrup

1 teacup olive oil or butter
2 teacups not fine semolina
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Chopped walnuts
3 teacups water
2 ½ teacups sugar

Cooking Directions: 

- Heat the oil in a frying pan. Gradually, add the flour and the cinnamon stirring constantly, until the semolina looks dark brown. 
- In the meantime, prepare the syrup by boiling the water and the sugar for about 10 minutes. 
- Pour the syrup, scalding hot over the «halva» and stir constantly, until the mixture thick-ens up. Remove the frying pan from fire. 
- When the «halva» cools down a little, place it in small containers such as muffin tins for it to acquire a nice shape. 
- Serve onto a platter, sprinkled with walnuts.
