Half kilo (1 lb 2 oz) lasagna
1 kilo (2 lbs 4 oz) ripe tomatoes, finely diced
1 onion, finely diced
250 grams (9 oz) minced meat
1 raw egg
4 boiled eggs
1 slice bread, soaked in water
Half kilo (1 lb 2 oz) grated kefalotyri cheese
1 teacup olive oil
250 grams (9 oz) Italian or Greek style sausages

20 minutes
Cooking Directions: 

- Squeeze excess moisture from the soaked bread. Place it in a bowl with the minced meat, the raw egg, salt and pepper, half the grated cheese and mix well by hand making sure that the bread is incorporated. 
- Heat half the oil in a frying pan. Make small round shapes, the size of olives and fry them. 
- Add the remaining oil to the frying pan and saute the onion in it. 
- Pour in the tomatoes, add the salt and pep¬per and cook for half an hour.
- Boil the lasagna in plenty of salted water and drain them in a colander. 
- Butter a pan, pour in a part of the tomato sauce, then place a layer of lasagna over the sauce and pour some more sauce over the pasta. Sprinkle with cheese. 
- Place half the meat balls, half the sausages (sliced) and half the boiled eggs (also sliced) over the layers of pasta and sauce. 
- Cover with another layer of lasagna and continue with the remaining in-gredients as before. 
- Sprinkle the final layer with cheese and spread pieces of butter over the surface. 
- Bake in medium oven for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
