1 kilo (2 lb 4 oz) milk
1 teacup sweet «trahana»
8 eggs, beaten
4 puff pastry sheets
- Chop the onions finely. Heat the olive oil in a pot and saute the onions, until they look pale golden, in another pot, warm the milk and gradually add the «trahana», stirring constantly, until you have a thin paste.
- Add the onions to the paste and season with salt and pepper. When this mixture is cold, pour in the beaten eggs.
- Lay a pan with two pastry sheets brushing each sheet with olive oil.
- Pour the mixture into the pan evenly, cover it with the remaining pastry sheets (both brushed with olive oil) and bake in a medium oven for about 45 minutes.
