1 ½ kilos (3 lbs 6 oz) lean leg of pork
1 ½ kilos (3 lbs 6 oz) large chestnuts
1 onion, finely diccd
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Olive oil

Cooking Time: 
about 1 hour
Cooking Directions: 

- Cook the chestnuts in a pot and remove their inner and outer coverings (shell and skin). "Wash and strain the meat and cut it into portions. 
- Heat some oil in a pot and saute the pork in it, until it turns golden brown. Add the finely diced onion, salt and pepper and saute a little while longer.
- Dissolve the tomato paste in a glass of water and pour it over the meat. 
- Lower the fire and allow the food to cook. When the meat is done, add the chestnuts and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
