1lb small, ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
1 teacup olive oil
1 dove garlic
1 teaspoon basil
1 bay leaf
Small amount of sugar
- Place the tomatoes and olive oil in a frying pan.
- Add the salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaf, basil, sugar and some beef broth and let everything cook for about 30 minutes stirring from time to time.
- If the sauce is runny, add some corn flour.
- Serve with spa¬ghetti, other pasta and rice.
